MSME

In India, the government offers MSME registration to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as a means to unlock various benefits aimed at promoting their growth and development. MSMEs are considered the backbone of the economy and play a crucial role in generating employment and driving innovation. This registration provides access to a range of government incentives designed to support these businesses.

An enterprise is classified as micro, small, or medium based on the following criteria:

  1. Micro Enterprise: Investment in plant and machinery/equipment does not exceed ₹1 crore, and turnover does not exceed ₹5 crore.
  2. Small Enterprise: Investment in plant and machinery/equipment does not exceed ₹10 crore, and turnover does not exceed ₹50 crore.
  3. Medium Enterprise: Investment in plant and machinery/equipment does not exceed ₹50 crore, and turnover does not exceed ₹250 crore.
